President: Matt Dawson
Leads the club with passion and purpose, ensuring the club’s vision is upheld and the rugby experience for all players is positive. Provides strategic direction, guides volunteers and represents the club in the wider community. Works to foster a strong, supportive club culture.

Vice President: Mary Weaver
Supports the President in club management, stepping in when needed. Focuses on the operational side of the club, helping to coordinate activities, communicate with volunteers and ensure everything runs smoothly. A key figure in maintaining engagement and enthusiasm within the club.

Treasurer: Luke Mann
Manages the club’s finances, ensuring funds are used efficiently and responsibly. Oversees budgeting, tracks income and expenses and ensures all financial records are accurate. Plays a key role in fundraising efforts and securing resources to support the club’s activities. See detailed job description. 

Secretary: Matt Dawson
Responsible for keeping the club organised and running efficiently. Takes meeting minutes, manages official club correspondence and ensures important documents are stored and shared with the committee. Provides administrative support to all club activities and volunteers.

Registrar: Lindsay Dawson
Handles player registrations, ensuring all junior players are signed up and accounted for. Manages the database of players, maintains up-to-date records and ensures all registrations are submitted correctly to relevant governing bodies. Assists families with registration questions and processes. Rugby Xplorer champion. 

Coaching Development: Lisa Kane
Supports the growth and development of the club’s coaches by organising coaching clinics, training programmes and providing resources. Works with coaching staff to ensure they have the skills, knowledge and support needed to create a positive learning environment for young players.

Communications & Engagement: Mary Weaver
Develops and maintains communication channels with players, parents and the wider community. Manages the club’s social media, newsletter and email updates, sharing news, schedules and important announcements. Conducts an annual engagement survey and circulates insights. Engages families and supporters, helping to build a strong club community.

Sponsorship and Fundraising: Sharnie Anson
Seeks out and manages sponsorships and partnerships that help support the club. Builds and maintains relationships with local businesses and organisations, ensuring they receive the agreed-upon benefits and that sponsors are recognised within the club and at events. Develops and leads fundraising initiatives to support the club’s operations and special projects. Organises fundraising events, identifies potential donors, and ensures that all funds raised are used to benefit the club and its players.

Events: Joe Fitzpatrick
Coordinates the organisation and execution of club events, such as fundraisers, social gatherings and start-of-season and end-of-season celebrations. Works closely with volunteers to ensure logistics are managed effectively, helping to create memorable events that bring the club community together. Manages and coordinates volunteers for club events, training sessions and match days. 

Merchandise: Anna Boyd-Stawell
Oversees the selection, sale and inventory of club merchandise, such as jerseys, hats and other team gear. Works with suppliers and manages the online store or physical sales at events, ensuring players and families have access to gear that represents the club with pride. Co-ordinates the packing and distribution of uniform kits at the beginning of the season. 

Tournaments Co-ordinator: Ed Steiner
Organises the club’s participation in rugby tournaments, from local competitions to inter-club events. Coordinates team registrations and ensures all logistics are covered, ensuring that players and coaches are fully prepared for tournament play.

Minis Co-ordinators: Rhys Williams & Iwan Davies
Oversees the Minis rugby teams, working with coaches to ensure a fun and supportive environment for players aged U6 to U9. Coordinates the Try Rugby Day, in-school presentations, training schedules and parent feedback. Provides assistance and support for the Minis teams and age managers, promoting positive experiences for both players and families.

Gear Steward & Facilities Management: TBC
Manages all club gear and equipment, ensuring that uniforms, training equipment and rugby gear are in good condition and available for use. Coordinates field setup, maintenance and cleanliness, ensuring facilities are safe, welcoming and ready for games and practices.

 

Other club roles

Team Coach:

  • Responsible for teaching skills, leading one training session per week, and coaching on game days. Arranging a replacement parent when needed or escalate to Age Manager.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive and supportive environment.
  • The Club will help on coaching, access to appropriate learning materials and external couching resources.
  • Must complete a Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Must be accredited (done the required coaching qualifications) via Rugby Xplorer and registered with the club.
  • Must wear identifying attire (Vest) on match day

Team Manager:

  • Supports the coach by organising team logistics, communication, and participation in club events.
  • Manages equipment, player rotations, and records scores and tries.
  • Responsible for using the Rugby Xplorer app for player registrations and communication – normally Friday night competition and some other Gala or Events.
  • Team functions and team cheer leader bringing the team unity
  • Work with the Age Manager to execute Club Communications and needs
  • Finding volunteers to support the team (Ground Marshal, Assistant Referee)

Ground Marshall:

  • Oversees spectator behaviour to ensure compliance with the code of conduct.
  • Coordinates match setup (cones, chairs, etc.) and manages crowd control during matches.
  • Must complete a 30-minute accreditation via Rugby Xplorer and wear identifying attire (Vest).

Assistant Referee:

  • Runs the line, indicating touch, lineouts, and off-field incidents during games.
  • Assists referees, especially for away games.
  • Requires 1-hour accreditation (U8-U12) or 3-hour accreditation for junior/senior games.
  • Must wear identifying attire (Vest).

Age Manager:

  • Oversees the entire age group, coordinating with team managers and coaches.
  • Communicates committee updates and escalates age-specific issues.
  • Committee or club level messaging and engagement
  • Runs cross Age Group events like Gala days, competitions etc where we are sending a harlequins Clovelly team etc
  • Acts as first call of issues, before escalation to the Committee
