Randwick District Club
Randwick District Rugby Union Football Club, also known as the Galloping Greens, is an Australian rugby union club formed in 1882. The Clovelly Eagles is part of the Randwick Junior Village Clubs, which also includes the Coogee Seahorses and the Maroubra Missiles.
Randwick Junior Academy
The Randwick Junior Academy forms part of the Randwick District’s clear pathway for our junior players.
It is a free programme for all boys and girls who are registered with a Randwick Junior Club (including the Clovelly Eagles), from the ages of 10 through to 17. From the Eagles to training with the Academy each summer, into the Randwick Warriors for boys or the Randwick Magic for girls – our District’s teenage rugby clubs, before progressing on to Colts and Grade for the mighty Galloping Greens.
Both boys and girls can apply to join the Randwick Junior Academy at the end of their U10 season.
Applications to join the Randwick Junior Academy are sent out to all our local village clubs in August every year.
Where to play rugby after Clovelly Eagles?
Randwick Warriors
Boys can play club rugby at the Randwick Warriors from U13-U18. Randwick Warriors play in the Sunday Graded Competition, with nearly 50 teams in just the U13 competition, ranging from Grade A through to Grade E. The choice of playing in a graded competition will enable boys in our district to play in a competition most suited to their skill level.
Randwick Magic
Girls can play club rugby at the Randwick Magic from U12. Randwick Magic is an all-female rugby union club, fielding both 7’s and XV’s Junior and Senior teams. Randwick Magic is there to provide not just a platform for girls and women to learn rugby but also provide a safe sporting environment for the girls of our local community.
