How to register in 2024

Before you start

This page is a guide to assist you through the multi-step registration process. Please read carefully through all instructions for each step before proceeding to any associated links.
 

Please have the following ready to go.

  • A current photo of your child (head shot)
  • Know the height and weight of your child
  • Know the shoe, shorts and jersey sizes of your child
  • Active Kids voucher (you will need to obtain the Active Kids voucher number prior to registering with Rugby AU. You will need this voucher number during the registration process to reduce your registration cost by $50. Note: Redeemed NSW Active Kids Vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferrable, as per the terms set by the NSW Office of Sport. Head to the Service NSW website to apply online.

Once you have all of these handy, proceed with the steps below. It is best done in one sitting and will take approximately 5-10 minutes.

Download and open the Rugby Xplorer app on your phone. If you already have the app, make sure you update to the latest version. You can also access Rugby Xplorer via your desktop computer.

On the RugbyXplorer app enter your email to login. 

  • If you have an account it will ask for your password. 
  • If you don’t it will tell you and click on the “sign me up!” button. 
  • Follow the prompts and register yourself.

Click the more button on the bottom right of the app and then select Register

Under Play Rugby select Find a Club (do not select either option under Rugby Events)

Note: Make sure you log in using the email address you previously used for registration
otherwise you will need to create a whole new account.

  1. At this point, yours and/or your children’s name should appear if they played last season.
  2. If your child is new, or you are registering with a new email, you will be asked to create an
    account now.
  3. Create the account in your name, as the parent, then add all your children that are intending to play. Before you move on to registering into Clovelly, all of your children should be linked to your Rugby AU account.

Search for the Club

Enter Club Name “Clovelly”. Then hit search.
Select Clovelly JRUFC in the Sydney Junior Rugby Union (make sure you select the right one) then hit Next.

Do not select Clovelly RUFC – This is a senior club and won’t work.

Registration Type

Fill in the following from the drop-down menus

  • Role – Player
  • Registration Type – XV’s Juniors
  • Duration – Season

Then click Next

Personal Details

Check details then click Next

Enter Head Shot

Skip if you like

Recommend U10, U11 and U12 provide head shot at some stage prior to start of competition

Additional Details

Update:

  • Current address
  • Gender
  • Country of Origin
  • Aboriginal or Torres Straight Islander
  • Private account (Y/N) Yes will mean your child’s name is withheld on the app for scores etc.

Then click Next.

Emergency Contact Details
Complete and click Next.

Additional Questions

Update:

  • Height
  • Weight
  • School

Then click Next.

Add a saleable item

  • Enter 1x shorts, jersey and socks (these items are all included in registration fee)
  • If you wish to purchase additional merchandise, choose the amount and size
  • Leave the affiliation field as it is unless you child has already registered for another type of rugby union in the 2024 calendar year.

Enter your Active Kids voucher number

Voluntary Donation

If you choose NOT to be a volunteer, please make a tax-deductible donation of $70 to help support the club. We are a volunteer-run club and this donation will go towards additional coaching support for the season.

Click box confirming Terms and Conditions.

Payment Details

Fill in and hit Make Payment.

 

REGISTRATION SHOULD THEN BE COMPLETE and you should receive an email confirmation!

If you intend on being a coach, manager or a volunteer of any type (e.g. linesperson or ground marshall) please also register yourself. The process is largely the same except you select the appropriate role and enter your working with children check if it isn’t already there. There is no cost to register as an adult.
